In Part 2 of the Your Best Year Yet series, you mapped out your income goal and built a strategic, numbers-backed plan to get there. Now, in this final instalment, we’re looking at the one piece of the puzzle that can quietly sabotage even the most detailed business strategy.
Mindset.
Because - the real reason most health professionals don’t launch that new offer, raise their prices, or show up consistently? It’s not lack of skill or knowledge.
It’s resistance.
Doubt.
Fear.
And those subtle, limiting thoughts that whisper…
“I’m not ready. Not yet.”
Today, we’re going to bring those thoughts into the light - and show you how to move past them.
Step 1: Stretch Your Income Goal
Let’s revisit the revenue goal you set in Part 2.
Now double it.
Yes - double.
If your original goal was £60,000, stretch it to £120,000.
Not because you have to make that much.
But because this exercise helps you think in an entirely new way.
Sit with that bigger number for a moment.
What emotions come up? Excitement? Panic? Self-doubt?
There’s no right answer here - but noticing your reaction gives you powerful insight.
A stretch goal rarely means doubling your workload. In fact, it usually means working smarter, not harder.
It invites better questions, like:
- What would I need to do differently to achieve this?
- Where do I need more visibility, support, or systems?
- What needs to shift in my offers or how I sell them?
- How would I show up if this number was non-negotiable?
Even if you never hit the stretch goal, chances are you’ll get closer to it than you ever would have with your original one - just because you allowed yourself to think bigger.
Step 2: Spot the Resistance
If your stomach dropped a little when you wrote down your stretch number - know mine did too the first time I did this exercise.
Resistance shows up for all of us. The key is to notice what it sounds like in your mind.
Thoughts like:
“I don’t have a big enough audience.”
“People won’t pay those prices.”
“I’m not confident enough to show up like that.”
“I’d lose my freedom if I earned that much.”
“I’m not the kind of person who grows a big business.”
These are limiting beliefs. They’re not facts - but if you let them run the show, they will become your reality.
That’s why mindset work is business work.
Because if you subconsciously believe success isn’t safe or available to you… your actions will reflect that belief.
Step 3: Reframe the Story
Here’s the good news: beliefs are changeable.
Let’s take a common one:
“People can’t afford my prices.”
Try reframing it:
“There are people actively looking for support like mine. When I clearly show the value and results of my offer, investing in it makes sense.”
Or this one:
“I’m not confident enough to do live video.”
Flip it to:
“The people who need my help aren’t judging me - they’re grateful I’m showing up and making things easier to understand.”
You don’t need to fake confidence. You just need to notice the old story - and choose a better one.
Step 4: What If You Don’t Want to Grow?
Now, maybe you’re thinking:
“I don’t want a bigger business.”
“I like my life the way it is.”
“Growth feels overwhelming.”
That might be 100% true - and if it is, honour that.
But it’s also worth asking:
“Do I truly not want more… or am I avoiding growth because it feels scary?”
There’s a big difference between consciously choosing simplicity - and unconsciously shrinking your vision because success feels uncomfortable.
So ask yourself gently:
- Am I choosing ease - or avoiding expansion?
- Am I content - or staying small to feel safe?
- If I could grow without working harder or more hours, would I want to?
Because you can want both - a thriving business and a peaceful life.
And you don’t have to choose between growth and freedom.
You’ve Already Done the Hard Part
Over the last three sessions, you’ve done what most business owners skip.
Part 1, you reflected with the Traffic Light Dashboard - and saw exactly what’s working and what’s not.
Part 2, you built a revenue plan backed by real numbers - with clear offers, conversion strategies and traffic goals.
